Saturday Brunch: Hip Pocket Trio, featuring Tilden Webb
Bandleader Adam Rohrlick plays saxophone and electric guitar in the group, which mixes familiar Jazz standards with funky grooves and Latin beats. Hip Pocket performed in the 2019 TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival, regularly plays at many local clubs and restaurants and was performed on CBC Radio One’s Hot Air Jazz show. Featured performer Tilden Webb is an accomplished and versatile pianist and keyboard player who has recorded albums with David “Fathead” Newman, Peter Bernstein and Cory Weeds, among others, and has performed with the VSO.
