Born out of the pandemic times, when there were no gigs, no shows, no where to play music, word spread of friends and local players coming together to plug in to car batteries and play outdoors in an East Van park. Now, 5 seasoned musicians stuck together to jam on their favourite soul and blues tunes.The Royal Sundowners invite you to fall into a deep pocket of full sound and infectious grooves with soulful wiggle keys, bright rhythm guitar, groovy bass lines, alluring vocals, bouncy beats.Inspired by 70s soul funk blues, and reimagining Amy Winehouse, Bill Withers, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Wonder, Hall & Oates, Marcus King, and more. Picture tight sounds as the sun goes down, enjoying a drink with friends, while you shout at the band “I love this song !”
